Create your own special bone carving souvenir under the expert guidance of Stephan, the Nelson Bone Carver.
|
One day workshop with Stephan Gilberg.
Learn how to carve your own personal piece under the expert tuition of Stephan, the Nelson Bonecarver. Starting with a rough piece of beef bone you'll go through all the different stages of creating your carving to the smooth finished product. By the end of the day's workshop you'll have your very own unique gift from NZ.
Based in Stephan's studio, you'll work with a small, informal group. Materials and professional tools are provided. Stephan offers you as much guidance as you need and has a range of samples for inspiration. No experience necessary.
About the tutor
Stephan started bone carving in 1992. His background is strongly influenced by woodwork as he was originally a guitar maker. Over the years Bonecarving has become his main medium of work. He started teaching full time in 1996.
