In this session you will create a beautiful and unique souvenir to take away with you as a reminder of our country and the time you have spent here.

Half Day Workshop with John Fraser

Create your very own bone carving in three hours or less using simple hand tools. No experience is required to make a unique carving that will surpass most souvenirs that you can buy at a craft market or shop. All you need to bring is your imagination: choose from a range of contemporary designs or create your own original design. You will have fun and learn a new skill whilst making something beautiful for yourself or someone close to you.

About the tutor
John is a self-taught carver who has been carving for the last 16 years. He started The Bone Dude’s Bone Carving Studio & Cultured Gallery in April 2003 and before that worked as a Bone Carving Tutor for seven years for Floyds Creative Arts in Christchurch. He now encourages people all over the world to have a go at making their own unique treasure.

Days available:
Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings
Start and finish times:
Mon-Fri 9am-12pm & 1pm – 4pm; Sat 10am-1pm (other sessions available for groups)
