Veronica Gibson :

Landscape and still life painter from Brecon in Wales.
Veronica was awarded honours in her degree at Canterbury school of Art. She has been teaching for many years and her enthusiasm and energy is infectious.

Veronica paints directly from the landscape, finding this the only real way to capture the essence and spirit of the landscape. Using pallette knife and brush,her demonstrations are unforgettable.She will go out in all weathers and travels widely.
She has had a very successful touring exhibition in Wales this year.

About the course Two courses to choose from, in May and August.Veronica’s enthusiasm and experience with painting directly from the landscape is evident from her lively, richly coloured paintings. Her demonstrations, using both palette knife and brush are a revelation in themselves. Her courses have been very popular.
It would be useful to have a basic understanding of oil painting in this course, but help will be on hand for those who need it. The more experienced painter would find it fascinating and inspiring.
While the aim is to be out of doors in the stunning surroundings on the farm and at Llanthony Priory,Veronica is equally at home with still life painting,and brings a selection of lively subject matter to paint. In poor weather this will be an equally enjoyable option.
