Welcome at Domaine de Mialaret, a centuries old, over 44 hectares large estate, with chateau, wood built chalets, stone built maisonets, an 8 hectare large **** campsite and fully furnished safarilodgetents. The domaine is situated close to the Gorges de la Dordogne and the 410 hectares large lake of Triouzoune. Authentic villages, cosy markets and small scale festivals are making the region together with its fabulous nature a paradise for the active nature lovers and their children. Our "natural" guests such as red- and roe deer, wild boars, foxes, badgers
otters, eagles, owls and raven are living between massive oaks, chestnuts, and wild orchids. Seeing the many varieties of lychen,
you'll recognize why this region has the "healthiest" air in France.
The clouds of colourfull butterflies are illustrating pesticides were never used here. We are offering a variety of programmes to develop your personal talents, ranging from Tai Chi and Djemb?orkshops to circusschool and flyfishing.
At Domaine de Mialaret you'll find the perfect ambiance for a relaxing
holiday, for you as well as your children.
We look forward to welcome you at Domaine de Mialaret, la Symphonie de la Nature Pure

At the beginning of the 15th century Domaine de Mialaret was noted for the first time in written history. In 1597 the building of a manor house was started. The neighbouring castle of Pennacorn highlights a relationship between the two. In 1893 Raoul Calary started to build the present castle.
In 1966 Le Mialaret was transformed into a holiday village and January 2001 its new owners arrived from the Netherlands.
The original interior of the castle has been maintained. Characteristic elements of the chateau are the stone above the kitchen with the Coquille St. Jacques emblem, a 16th century goblin, a hunting scene painting and the impressive chandeliers in the dining room.

Nearby Activities
Domaine de Mialaret" is a unique scenic area of 44 hectares with a variety of broadleaved and coniferous forest. It has two fishing ponds, of which one with trout. Next to the large mammals there is quite a selection of birds, such as the raven, the woodpecker, the jay, the goshawk and the buzzard. Reptiles like the salamander, frog and lizard. Countless butterflies and dragonflies, not to mention the squirrels, hedgehogs, sables and ermines. In between the immense trees there are special sorts of ferns, carnivorous plants and wild orchids. In autumn you can search for wild edible mushrooms. At the estate you will find some 5 miles of walking- and mountainbiketrails, the adjoining estates are open to our guests.
Such an unique environment has a few demands: only very obedient dogs can
be kept without a leash and you are requested to make use of the specially constructed pathways and mountain bike routes. Making a fire is not allowed but you can enjoy a barbecue. Fishing in the two ponds is allowed, please put back the catch ( of course with an exception for the occasional bbq trout).
"Domaine de Mialaret" offers a lot of opportunities for the active and the leisure sportsman. All the facilities can be used at no extra cost, you will only be charged a small fee for the use of tennis rackets and tennis balls.
"Domaine de Mialaret" has facilities for the following sports: swimming:
unique Art D? swimming pool (300m2), soccer (a halfsize playing field),
tennis (hard court), jeu de boule/p?nque (various lanes), volleyball, table tennis ( 4 tables in the open air), badminton, fishing (two ponds, one with trout), mountain biking (different routes), walking tours (only on the indicated pathways).
