My name is Joanne and I started a company called Smakelijk Reizen. Translated this means Tasty Travels. I started this company after having worked as a management secretary for several years at a large pharmaceutical company (find the details on my profile page).

I organize exclusive culinary trips to vineyards in Europe. I've started with the Moselle region in Germany (nearby Trier). The exclusivity is found in the way of travel (by VIP Coach and with a hostess), the fantastic food created by a good chef, served in a mobile restaurant between the vineyards, the small groups (minimum 10, maximum 16 people) and by visiting small, unknown vineyards. The wines made here cannot be found in the regular winestores. This makes it a special experience for those who travel. My goal is to expand to France, Portugal, Spain, Italy and wherever they make great wines. But the bottom line is that the concept stays as it is (transportation, hotel, atmosphere, groupsize, etc.).

Besides the exclusive 3 (or 5) day trips, I also organize daytrips in Holland, with the main goal to discover the Dutch vineyards. They start off with a culinary visit or workshop (e.g. mustard factory, chocolate workshop, sushi workshop, etc.) followed by an exclusive but light lunch. The afternoon is for visiting a vineyard, ofcourse also with tasting a few wines. The day ends with an exclusive walking dinner, served at a special location in the mobile restaurant.
